Well... Red Sun Rising is such fictional work, albeit a fanfic using anime character in an alternate history framework. Sure it revolved mostly about China as the main foe, but we know that Japan also had its own beef against Russia, which I did not change...

only adaptation of New Order requirements for politicial office in Indonesia to global circumstances and the current situation, given the huge number of problems in countries globally. However, unlike your case wherein active duty military and police held office during New Order period and still the same case today in Communist China with PLA-PAP faction of National People's Congress, this is post-2004 Indonesian situation wherein uniformed service officer, NCO or enlisted must retire from his/her service organization to pursue politicial office.

With some exception IRL nowadays if we talk about Indonesian star officers (generals/admirals/air marshals) filling civilian billets. Three posts that I know, all 3 stars:

national disaster management agency (today it’s headed by an army lieutenant general)

national search and rescue service (today’s head is an air marshal)

The Coast Guard (Maritime Security Agency - its head is a vice admiral of the navy)

I excluded the National Narcotics Agency which is headed by an active duty police commissioner general (PLTGEN in your PNP) due to its specialized Law enforcement nature.

Noted specially for appointed offices. Only a few active duty and retired members of the armed forces, law enforcement and emergency services in the West must be appointed to politicial office especially for important billets which require their experience.

I've stated that said prohibition is for elective positions. Thanks for the input.

For no 6 a recipient of equivalent of Medal of Honor is an exception? Especially for enlisted men below NCOs with such distinctive record.

part of the so-called "extra points to consider" for running for politicial office. Being a recipient of such medals and decorations while performing military service can see him or her as worthy of running for any office by the people. however yes there can be exceptions for this given the prestige and honor associated with such highest medals and decorations for gallantry.
